Cryptonote generator

Postby slb » Fri Dec 05, 2014 8:33 pm

Hi,
I developed a generator for cryptonote coins
https://github.com/dashcoin/cryptonote-generator

With this software you are able to:
* Generate new coins easy (currently the only problem is the initial block hash)
* Update abandoned coins to more advanced and secure code
* Mutate existing coins (Dashcoin)

I used Bytecoin as core coin. Monero and CryptonoteCoin versions are likely to be developed in the future.

The first coin generated by this software is Dashcoin

Hi!

I've patched CryptoNote generator to use CryptoNote Starter as a base instead of Bytecoin. Here are details:

Hi,
I have updated the cryptonote generator. The issues with generating coins on Windows are fixed. I also added instructions how to install the requirements needed for Windows:
https://github.com/dashcoin/cryptonote- ... install.md

The genesis block is now automatically generated, if the coin is new. Just leave the "genesisCoinbaseTxHex" empty.
Support for CryptonoteCoin (https://github.com/cryptonotefoundation/cryptonote) was added (some code borrowed from piotaak). Here is an example for it:
https://github.com/dashcoin/cryptonote- ... ecoin.json

If you want a cryptonote coin but you don't have time to build it yourself I can make the builds for you. All you need to do is send me the configuration file.
Price list:
* Windows build - 0.13 BTC or the equivalent in LTC, BCN, XMR or DSH.
* Linux build - 0.13 BTC or the equivalent in LTC, BCN, XMR or DSH.
* Mac OS X build - 0.13 BTC or the equivalent in LTC, BCN, XMR or DSH.
* Running a node:
* Bytecoin core: 0.165 BTC per month or the equivalent in LTC, BCN, XMR or DSH.
* Crytonotecoin core: 0.4 BTC per month or the equivalent in LTC, BCN, XMR or DSH.

If your payment is in DSH you are getting 10% off the price.

I made a big update to the cryptonote generator. I changed the plugin module. It now uses json files instead of python. I also added the plugins needed to generate and maintain Forknote and to create premined coins.

The old configuration files need to be updated to work with the new version:
  • Change all '.py' extensions in 'plugins' key to '.json'.
  • The 'tests' key is no longer needed. You can delete it.

Keep up a good work, slb! What are your plans for further development of the project? Really curious :)

Bytecoin GUI easy cloning + maintaining when source is available.
Version with core Monero when they release the next stable version if interest.
Version with core Ethereum.

Ethereum + CryptoNote as a core for coins?
