Best O.S and Compiler to use to create binaries

Hello
I just starting to create a new Coin using Cryptonote technology, before start I would like to know the Better O.s and Compiler version to use to create binaries to avoid any compiler error.

I can vouch for GCC 4.8.1, GCC 4.9 may have bugs due to very little testing.
OS could be Ubuntu 13, Ubuntu 14, Fedora 22, Fedora 23.

You can also use Windows and MS VC 2013 or 2015.

I saw your post after I installed....
I installed all latest release Ubuntu 15 e GCC 5.
and of course I got some error during Compiling
