We have no Logo now, but we have a Logo Contest

We created this Coin to make CryptoNote much more secure than now, we are working on more Rings (now we have still Ring 1,2 and Big) e.g Ring 1,2,3 ... Big. The first big change was to create 500 accounts and 500 blocks and not the normal 100:

Code: Select all
See ring_signature_1.cpp

/**
 * Check ring signature with m_test_size-1 sources.
 * - Create 500 accounts.
 * - Create 500 blocks, each block contains transaction from the miner to account[i].
 * - Create transaction with ring signature from account[99] to Alice with nmix = 99.
 * - Check balances.
 */

With the new Version (0.1.2) we needed to go back to the Standard 18Million Coins (a bug in the Genesis Block, but we work on a solution)

DoctorByte is also a bit of a "Doctor Who" Fan coin (this is not the main reason)

All in all DoctorByte is a Coin that try to be much more secure and anonymous then other CN Coins, we want that DoctorByte is paragon for other Developers to make their Coin more secure. We know that this is possbile.

I would like to suggest once again, to don't allow coin names that clearly hinder any realistic chance of the coins mainstream adoption and will be raising concerns about seriousness of the specific coin and whole CN project in general. With the risk of harming serious CN projects, when people start to doubt whole CryptoNote technology and plattform, because of to many crazy named "official" coins.

Concrete example: a coin named "DoctorByte" sounds to me like an (part-time) project iniated by schoolboy (or maybe under-grate student), with an 1-man-team and so serious concept, purpose and ressources.

Every coin that is serious, will find a better name, if their very proposed is denied.
Unserious coins, doenst need CN status.

Hello Karl,

We greatly appreciate your latest remark and your contribution to the CryptoNote discussions in general. However, we intentionally encourage users to experiment with our open platform in any applicable ways. We do realize that some of these experiments will result in failure but some will inevitably succeed. We are very pleased that people show interest in CryptoNote and actually become ardent supporters of our technology. We are always open to new proposals and ideas.

Again, thank you for your active participation.
